AudioPilot

v0.6.1 — A Hammerspoon Spoon that automatically switches audio devices based on a priority list.

Variables

configPath

AudioPilot.configPath

Path to the JSON config file (default: ~/.config/AudioPilot/config.json).

notifyDelay

AudioPilot.notifyDelay

Seconds to wait before emitting a coalesced device-change notification (default: 5).

menuIcon

AudioPilot.menuIcon

What to show in the menu bar (default: "🔊"). Either a literal title string (e.g. an emoji), or a table `{ image = "SystemImageName" }` naming an `hs.image.imageFromName` system image (e.g. `{ image = "NSTouchBarAudioOutputVolumeLowTemplate" }`) for a monochrome template icon that adapts to the menu bar's light/dark appearance.

Methods

configure

AudioPilot:configure(opts)

Set one or more of AudioPilot's spoon-level variables (configPath, notifyDelay, menuIcon) from a table. Call before `:start()`.

Parameters

opts - a table with any of `configPath`, `notifyDelay`, `menuIcon`

start

AudioPilot:start()

Load config, create the menu bar icon, enforce audio priorities, and start monitoring device changes.

stop

AudioPilot:stop()

Stop the audio device watcher, flush any pending notifications, and remove the menu bar icon.
